Anna Elisabetha Krether and Johann Peter Hohl

Anna Elisabetha Krether and Johann Peter Hohl were married in Freinsheim on 09 Feb 1740. She was the daughter of Johann Nicolaus and Anna Margaretha Krether christened 11 Jul 1723. (Johann Nicolaus and Anna Margaretha were also either the great-great-great- or great-great-great-great-grandparents of Richard Kroether).

The bridegroom's father's name is not given in the marriage record. However, as far as I know the only Johann Peter Hohl of marriageable age in Freinsheim at that time was the son of Wilhelm Hohl christened 04 Oct 1713. He had married Philippina Wigand, the daughter of Johann Jost Wigand, 10 Feb 1739. There are no records of children being born to Johann Peter and Philippina. It's entirely possible that Philippina died, after which he married Anna Elisabetha.

Johann Peter and Anna Elisabetha were one of the two couples having children christened under the name Hohl in Freinsheim during the years 1740-1760. They had seven children:

• Maria Agnesia born 14 Dec 1741, christened 21 Dec 1741. Married Johann Ludwig Ehrhardt in October 1766;
• Johann Wilhelm born 06 Oct 1743, christened 07 Oct 1743;
• Maria Juliana born 28 Sep 1745, christened 03 Oct 1745;
• Anna Margaretha born 21 Sep 1748, christened 22 Sep 1748;
• Anna Catharina born 12 Oct 1751, christened 14 Oct 1751;
• Johannes born 09 Mar 1754, christened 10 Mar 1754; and
• Johann Jacob born 08 Oct 1760, christened 10 Oct 1760.

Johannes born 09 Mar 1754 may or may not be the Johannes Reichard Hohl who married Anna Christina Willi in Freinsheim on 17 Feb 1778.
