Christina Schranck, Heinrich Engel and Katharina Kohl
Christina Schranck and Heinrich Engel married in Dackenheim 19 Jul 1855. He was the son of Catharina Stephan and Heinrich Engel born 06 Oct 1824 and christened in Freinsheim 11 Oct 1824. She was the daughter of Catharina Elisabetha Engel and Georg II Schranck christened in Freinsheim 04 Nov 1832. I couldn't find a birth record for Christina's mother and therefore don't know how she's related to Heinrich, although given Dackenheim's small size I would assume that she was.
Christina's older sister Catharina Margaretha married Heinrich's younger brother Johannes in 1852.
Christina and Heinrich had five children, all of whom were christened in Freinsheim. Four were also christened in Dackenheim. One died young:
In all of the Dackenheim records, Heinrich is referred to as "Heinrich III Engel."
Burial records for Dackenheim end in September 1864. Christina Schranck seems to have died and been buried sometime between October 1864 and October 1866. On 23 Oct 1866, Heinrich married Katharina Kohl in Battenberg, 5 km WNW of Dackenheim. The bride was the daughter of Anna Katharina Enckler and Jakob Kohl. The marriage record gives her year of birth as 1825 - i.e., asserting that she was a year younger than her groom - but she was actually christened in Battenberg 10 Sep 1822.
I have no further records for this family.
