Eva Catharina Weilbrenner and Ludwig Schaeffer

Eva Catharina Weilbrenner and Ludwig Schaeffer married in Freinsheim 28 Jan 1783. She was born in Freinsheim 30 Jul 1764, the daughter of Johann Jacob Weilbrenner. Her christening record gives her mother's name as Eva Catharina, but it seems likely that this was due to confusion with her own name and that her mother was Johann Jacob's wife Anna Maria Sorg.

I haven't been able to identify Ludwig's birth record with certainty. He may not have been born in Freinsheim, as Schaeffer was a common name throughout the Pfalz.

Eva Catharina and Ludwig had four children christened in Freinsheim that I know of:

• Eva Margaretha born 26 Dec 1784, christened 27 Dec 1784;
• Maria Sophia born 17 Aug 1786, christened 20 Aug 1786;
• Jakob born 30 May 1789, christened 01 Jun 1789. Married Barbara Friedrich in Freinsheim 27 Jul 1819; and
• Catharina Elisabetha born 30 Aug 1792, christened 02 Sep 1792. Married Johann Jacob Besch in Freinsheim 31 May 1816. They had five children christened in Freinsheim 1817-1827.

I don't have any further information on the two oldest daughters. They may have married during the records gap.
