Anna Christina Orth and Heinrich Engel

Anna Christina Orth and (Johann) Heinrich Engel appear to have married some time during the records gap. My best guess for Anna Christina is that she was the daughter of Catharina Elisabetha (Faber?) and Philipp Jacob Orth born 01 Mar 1792 and christened in Freinsheim 02 Mar 1792.

Sorting out Heinrich's parents is a trickier proposition. My most likely guess is that was the son of Christina Margaretha Schik and Georg Jacob Engel born 27 Mar 1791 and christened in Freinsheim 28 Mar 1791.

I think it's less likely that Heinrich was born in Dackenheim. This lets out Johann Hennrich Engel, son of Maria Catharina Muschel and Hartmann Engel, christened in Dackenheim 19 Mar 1792, as well as Johann Henrich Engel, son of Martin Engel, born in Dackenheim 08 Feb 1790. (I suspect that the lack of christening date in the latter's case indicates that he was stillborn.)

Anna Christina and Heinrich had at least six children. The ones I have christening records for were christened in Freinsheim. Two died young:

• Catharina, apparently born in or before 1815. Anna Christina and Heinrich are listed as her parents in her marriage record. She married Heinrich Hubach, the son of Christina Pletscher and Friedrich Hubach, in Freinsheim 16 Dec 1841. Heinrich was born in 1804, probably in Erpolzheim. His father might be the Friedrich Hubach who was named Bürgermeister in 1819, possibly again in 1835. Heinrich himself might be the Heinrich Hubach who was named Adjunct to the Bürgermeister in 1843, 1848, 1853 and 1858. Heinrich and Catharina had nine children, all christened in Erpolzheim, 1843-1855. Heinrich died and was buried in Erpolzheim 06 Nov 1863. I don't know what happened to Catharina;
• Christina Margaretha christened 05 Dec 1816;
• Heinrich, sometimes referred to as Heinrich III, christened 03 May 1818. Married Barbara Becker, daughter of Philippina Hoffman and Heinrich II Becker, in Freinsheim 17 Oct 1850. I have no records of children for this couple. Heinrich died and was buried in Freinsheim 11 Feb 1858;
• Georg Franz christened 06 Sep 1820. Possibly the Georg Franz Engel who married Anna Margaretha Renner in Gönnheim 30 Jun 1859. I have no records of children for this couple;
• Charlotta christened 05 Mar 1823. Died and was buried in Freinsheim 21 Mar 1823; and
• Barbara christened 15 Jan 1825. Died and was buried in Freinsheim 23 Jan 1825.

Anna Christina Orth died and was buried in Freinsheim 28 Feb 1849.

Johann Heinrich Engel died and was buried in Freinsheim 25 May 1858.
