Barbara Schäfer and Philipp Messinger

I have three records for children born to Barbara and Philipp Messinger in Freinsheim. Two of these records specify Barbara's last name as Schäfer:

• Anna Christina born 10 Feb 1798 to Barbara and Philipp Messinger. Christened in Freinsheim 19 Feb 1798;
• Heinrich born 19 Oct 1809 to Barbara Schäfer and Philipp Messinger. This information comes from the record of Heinrich's marriage to Henrietta Zachritz in Weisenheim am Sand in 12 Jan 1837. The bride's family was from Weisenheim an Sand, but the couple's eight children were all christened in Freinsheim; and
• Catharina, the daughter of Barbara Schäfer and Johann Philipp Messinger, who died and was buried in Freinsheim 29 May 1844.

Philipp may or may not be Philipp Ludwig Messinger born 22 Feb 1768 and christened 23 Feb 1768, the son of Catharina Elisabetha Albert and Johann Christoph Messinger. The problem with this identification is the identification of the younger Catharina's father specifically as Johann Philipp.

Barbara may or may not be either Maria Barbara Schaeffer born 30 Aug 1769 and christened in Freinsheim the same day, the daughter of Maria Catharina and Elias Schaeffer, or Maria Barbara Schaeffer born 29 Nov 1775 and christened in Freinsheim 30 Nov 1775, the daughter of Maria Sophia and Johann Michael Schaeffer.

The Barbara Schäfer who married Philipp Messinger died and was buried in Freinsheim 23 Jan 1843.
