Catharina Elisabetha Albert and Johann Christoph Messinger

Johann Christoph Messinger was born 25 Jun 1735 and christened in Freinsheim 29 Jun 1735. His parents were Jacobea Charlotta Knahffer and David Messinger

Of the 17 children christened under the name Messinger in Freinsheim between 1751 and 1797, 16 were the children of Catharina Elisabetha and Johann Christoph. The only exception was Carl August, the son of Wilhelmina Margaretha and Philipp Ludwig Messinger born 27 Jun 1766.

Of the 16 children, at least two died young:

• Anna Gertrauta born 17 Dec 1759, christened 18 Dec 1759;
• Johann David born 19 Nov 1760, christened 23 Nov 1760. Deceased by December 1761;
• Johann David born 30 Dec 1761, christened 31 Dec 1761;
• Philipp Ludwig born 26 Feb 1763, christened 27 Feb 1763. Deceased by February 1768;
• Catharina Elisbetha born 13 Feb 1764, christened 15 Feb 1764;
• Wilhelmina Margaretha born 10 Mar 1765, christened 11 Mar 1765;
• Marta Elisabetha born 08 Apr 1766, christened 09 Apr 1766;
• Philipp Ludwig born 22 Feb 1768, christened 23 Feb 1768. Possibly the Philipp Messinger who married Barbara Schäfer;
• Philippina Catharina born 03 Jun 1769, christened 04 Jun 1769;
• A child christened 14 Jul 1770. Only the father's name, Christoph Messinger, is given in the transcription I have of the christening record. The child's first name, date of birth and mother's name either weren't given in the original record or were not legible;
• Jacob born 18 Feb 1772, christened 19 Feb 1772;
• Adam born 22 Sep 1773, christened 23 Sep 1773;
• Georg Frantz born 13 Feb 1775, christened 14 Feb 1775;
• Johann Melchior born 24 Oct 1776, christened 25 Oct 1776;
• Christina Elisabetha born 30 Apr 1778, christened 01 May 1778; and
• Charlotta born 21 Aug 1779, christened 22 Aug 1779.

Except for possibly Philipp Ludwig born in 1768, I have no further information on any members of this family.
