Luisa Isserheld and Peter Sohn

On 07 Feb 1837 Luisa Isserheld or Jsserheld and Peter Sohn were married in Freinsheim. The marriage record does not include their parents' names. I have no information on Luisa's family.

Peter may or may not be the Peter Sohn christened 06 Dec 1818, the son of Elisabeth and Johann Sohn. However, there are a couple of problems with this. One is that 19 was possible but on the young side for a Freinsheim bridegroom. The other is that this christening record is the only record I have for Elisabeth and Johann Sohn as a couple. There was a couple having children in Freinsheim during this period named Sibilla Retzer and Johannes Sohn, but they had a son named Peter born 30 Aug 1824. If Sibilla is Sibilla Elisabeth or Elisabeth Sibilla and Peter Sohn born in December 1818 is her son, then he was deceased by August 1824.

Another possibility is that the Peter Sohn who married Luisa Isserheld was the son of Christina Retzer and Johann Georg Sohn and that he was born during the records gap (October 1798-December 1815).

Luisa and Peter had eight children, although four died young. They were the only couple who had children christened in Freinsheim under the name of Sohn between 1838 and 1848:

• Susanna christened 01 Aug 1838. Died and was buried in Freinsheim 08 May 1839;
• Christina christened 14 Oct 1840. Married Lorenz Haas, the son of Katharina Gerber and Johann Jacob II Haas, in Freinsheim 09 Dec 1869. They had at least four children;
• Adam christened 17 Nov 1841. Probably the Adam Sohn who married Elisabetha Ludwig in or before 1872;
• Johannes 15 Mar 1843. His christening record is interesting in that his mother's name is given as "Ludovika," a more Germanic form of Luisa;
• Leonhard christened 03 Jul 1844. Died and was buried in Freinsheim 22 Jan 1846;
• Jacob christened 18 Aug 1847. Possibly the Jacob Sohn who married Barbara Mayer in or before 1868;
• Susanna christened 19 Sep 1852. Died and was buried in Freinsheim 11 Dec 1852; and
• Peter christened 05 Jun 1854. Died and was buried in Freinsheim 24 Jun 1854.

I have no further information on Luisa and Peter.
