The Pirmann Family of Freinsheim

Keeping up with the Pirmanns is not made any easier by the various spellings of their name - Pirman, Pirmann, Piermann, Pirrmann, Birman, Birmann, Biermann, Birrmann, etc. The earliest record I could find for this family in Freinsheim was the christening of Susanna Catharina "Pihrmann" 20 Jan 1698. She had no father listed, but her mother's name was given as Elias Pihrmann. I have no further information on either Susanna Catharina or Elias.

Then in the years from 1710 to 1720, there was a quartet of marriages in Freinsheim:

Dorothea Elisabetha Quantz and Jacob Pirman or Biermann had two sons, Melchior christened 20 Mar 1712 and Henrich Peter christened 22 Oct 1713. I have no further information on this family.

I have no further information on Anna Barbara Doersamb and Johannes Pierman.

Maria Susanna Pirman and Johann Heinrich Schimpff had four children christened in Freinsheim 1722-1728.

Maria Susanna Weilbrenner and Melchior Pierman had two sons, Georg Samuel born 07 Oct 1716 and christened 11 Oct 1716 and Johann Reichart christened 06 Apr 1719. Georg Samuel Pirmann was to marry Susanna Margaretha - I don't know her last name - by 1738. Johann Reichart married Maria Christina Apresch, daughter of Anna Elisabetha Heyd and Georg Daniel Apresch, in Freinsheim 21 Apr 1739.

Christina and Jacob Pirmann

During the years 1717-1733, Christina and Jacob Pirmann had six children christened in Freinsheim. In fact during the 1720s and early 1730s, they were the only couple having children christened in Freinsheim under the name Pirmann. I don't know where they married or who their parents were.

Here are the six children:

I have no further information on this family.

1738-1740: A Christening and Two Weddings

Susanna Pirmann, daughter of Susanna Margaretha and Samuel Pirmann, was born 21 Jun 1738 and christened in Freinsheim 22 Jun 1738. A second child, Georg Samuel "Bierman" was born 09 Jan 1740 and christened in Freinsheim 10 Jan 1740. It's a fairly safe bet that the children's father was Georg Samuel born 1716, the son of Maria Susanna Weilbrenner and Melchior Pirmann described above. I have no further information on this family.

On 21 Apr 1739 Johann Reichart married Maria Christina Apresch, daughter of Anna Elisabetha Heyd and Georg Daniel Apresch, as described above.

Then on 12 Jul 1740 Susanna Margaretha Pirmann, daughter of Georg Samuel Pirmann, married Johann Henrich Seltzer, son of Briscilla and Johann Nicolaus Seltzer. They had four children christened in Freinsheim 1741-1746. Johann Henrich was born 18 Jul 1717 and christened in Freinsheim 25 Jul 1717, but what about Susanna Margaretha? Was she the cousin of Georg Samuel Pirmann born 07 Oct 1716? She certainly wasn't his daughter.
