The Apresch Family of Freinsheim

There were three couples having children christened under the name Apresch in Freinsheim between 1698 and 1731: Anna Catharina and Georg Daniel Apresch, Anna Elisabetha Heyd and Georg Daniel Apresch (possibly a second marriage for Georg Daniel) and Louysa Catharina and Herman Apresch.

There's also a couple who married in Freinsheim 01 Feb 1719, Anna Christina Heyd and Johann Peter Apresch. Johann Peter is not the son of Anna Catharina and Georg Daniel Apresch because they had son by the same name christened in 1708. As far as I can tell, Anna Christina Heyd and Johann Peter Apresch had no children.

I have no records as to any relationship between Anna Christina Heyd and the Anna Elisabetha Heyd who married Georg Daniel Apresch.

Anna Catharina and Georg Daniel Apresch

I found five christening records that I think can be attributed to this couple, although two of them don't supply the mother's name.

• Sophia Catharina "Abbresch" born 13 Feb 1702, christened 18 Feb 1702. Married Johann Philipp Traudwein in Freinsheim 19 Aug 1721;
• Charlotta christened 30 Nov 1704. Her christening record gives only her father's name;
• Peter christened 12 Feb 1708. His christening record gives only his father's name. Possibly the Peter Apresch who married Maria Salome Gimpel in Freinsheim 30 May 1730;
• Johannes born 10 Mar 1711, christened 15 Mar 1711; and
• Johann Georg born 13 Feb 1713, christened 18 Feb 1714 (according to the transcription I have). Unusually, his christening record supplies his date of death: 30 Oct 1781;

Anna Elisabetha Heyd and Georg Daniel Apresch

Anna Elisabetha Heyd and Georg Daniel Apresch married in Freinsheim 07 Jan 1716, not quite three years after the last child was born to Anna Catharina and Georg Daniel Apresch. I have to wonder if this was a second marriage for Georg Daniel.

Anna Elisabetha and Georg Daniel had five children christened in Freinsheim:

• Anna Christina born 15 Dec 1716, christened 20 Dec 1716;
• Sophia Elisabetha christened 27 Dec 1718;
• Johann Henrich born 10 Jan 1721, christened 15 Jan 1721;
• Maria Christina christened 02 May 1723; and
• Georg Henrich christened 04 Mar 1725.

Sophia Elisabetha is pretty definitely the daughter of Georg Daniel Apresch who married Bartholomaeus Hill, the son of Paul Hill, in Freinsheim 15 Apr 1838.

I'm a bit less sure as to the Maria Christina, daughter of Georg Daniel Apresch, who married Johann Reichert Pirmann in Freinsheim 21 Apr 1739. Johann Reichert was the son of Johann Melchior Pirmann. The couple had 11 children born 1740-1766, and all 11 of the children's christening records refer to their mother as Maria Christina. This makes it seem unlikely that the bride in 1739 was Anna Christina born 1716. However, her sister Maria Christina was only 16 years old in 1739, which is young for a Freinsheim bride. The groom would have been 20.

Louysa Catharina and Herman Apresch

I don't have a marriage record for this couple, although I would guess that they married not long before 1714. They had six children christened in Freinsheim:

• Susanna christened 08 Apr 1714. Married Johann Adam Israhelt, son of Martin Israhelt, in Freinsheim 04 Apr 1736;
• Johanna Catharina born 22 Sep 1715, christened 28 Sep 1715. Died 28 Sep 1715;
• Reichhardt christened 10 Oct 1717. Married Anna Catharina Hohl, daughter of Wilhelm Ludwig Hohl, in Freinsheim 05 Nov 1743;
• Charlotta christened 09 Jul 1719;
• Anna Catharina christened 23 Nov 1721. Married Johann Christian Metzger, named after his father, in Freinsheim 15 Feb 1746. They had five children born 1748-1759; and
• Anna Christina christened 11 Feb 1725. Married Johann Peter Christmann, son of Johann Georg Christmann, in Freinsheim 10 Sep 1750. They had seven children born 1751-1764.
