"Immigrants: we get the job done" -- Lin-Manuel Miranda, Hamilton
Maria Christina Apresch and Johann Reichart Pirmann married in Freinsheim 21 Apr 1739.
He was the son of Maria Susanna Weilbrenner and Melchior Pierman christened 06 Apr 1719.
She was the daughter of Anna Elisabetha Heyd and Georg Daniel Apresch,
probably Maria Christina christened 02 May 1723.
(My only hesitation here is that 16 years old was young for a Freinsheim bride.)
Maria Christina and Johann Reichart had 11 children, all christened in Freinsheim. During the years 1739-1777, they
were the only couple having children christened in Freinsheim under the name Pirmann. Here are their children:
- Susanna Elisabetha born 16 May 1740, christened 20 May 1740;
- Philipp Jacob born 14 Sep 1742, christened 16 Sep 1742.
Married Anna Margaretha Hilbert, daughter of Conrad Hilbert, in Freinsheim
in July 1767;
- Johann Peter born 06 Feb 1745, christened 10 Feb 1745;
- Johannes born 07 Jun 1747, christened 11 Jun 1747;
- Johann Henrich born 23 Apr 1749.
Married Juliana Fett in Freinsheim 12 Feb 1777;
- Anna Christina born 25 Jul 1751, christened 27 Jul 1751;
- Susanna Elisabetha born 08 Jun 1754, christened 09 Jun 1754;
- Johann Philipp born 25 Feb 1757, christened 27 Feb 1757.
Married by 1777, his wife's name being Christina, possibly Christina Margaretha;
- Eva Margaretha born 21 Mar 1760, christened 23 Mar 1760. Married Johann Georg Seltzer in Freinsheim 30 Sep 1783;
- Johann Kaspar born 19 Jan 1763, christened 23 Jan 1763; and
- Johann Reichart born 14 Feb 1766, christened 16 Feb 1766.
Married Anna Christina Schick in Weisenheim am Sand 12 Jan 1790.
As I mentioned above, Eva Margaretha born 1760 married Johann Georg Seltzer in Freinsheim 30 Sep 1783.
He was the son of Maria Magdalena Ebel and Johann Jacob Seltzer born 28 Feb 1756 and christened in Freinsheim 03 Mar 1756.
Eva Margaretha and Johann Georg had at least eight children that I know of, all christened in Freinsheim:
- Charlotta born 04 May 1784, christened 05 May 1784. Died and was buried in Freinsheim 10 May 1842;
- Reichard born 24 Aug 1785, christened 25 Aug 1785. Apparently deceased by May 1819;
- Christina Elisabetha born 25 Jul 1787, christened 26 Jul 1787 and died the same day;
- Conrad christened 04 Feb 1789. Apparently deceased by May 1819;
- Christina Elisabetha born 11 Mar 1795, christened 14 Mar 1795;
- Luisa born 08 Jun 1797, christened 09 Jun 1797. Apparently deceased by May 1819;
- Franz, apparently born after September 1798. Described as a minor child in legal notice 03 May 1819; and
- Georg, apparently born after September 1798. Described as a minor child in legal notice 03 May 1819.
Both Eva Margaretha and Johann Georg were deceased by 03 May 1819. Volume 2 of the Intelligenzblatt des Rheinkreises
includes a legal notice posted that date in preparation of the auction of the goods owned by the late farmer Johann Georg Selzer
and his wife Eva Margaretha Piermann. The beneficiaries and their representatives are:
- Charlotta Selzer, without a trade;
- Elisabetha Selzer, without a trade, daughter of the deceased (but why was this not also specified for Charlotta?); and
- Jacob Selzer, butcher, as guardian for both of the minor children of the deceased, Franz Selzer and Georg Selzer, without trades; and
- Heinrich Piermann as co-guardian for the minor children.
Jacob Selzer the butcher may be Johann Georg's brother born 1757 but there are also other possibilities.
Likewise Heinrich Piermann may be Eva Margaretha's brother born 1749 - and thus 70 years old at the time - but he could also be one of
her two nephews, Johann Hennrich born 1775 or
Hennrich Adam born 1778.
