Anna Philippina Seltzer and Johannes Stocke

Anna Philippina Seltzer and Johannes Stocke were married in Freinsheim in September 1773. He was probably the son of Anna Catharina Besch and Johannes Stocke born 10 Jun 1752 and christened in Freinsheim 11 Jun 1752. The marriage record gives Anna Philippina's father's name as Johann Henrich. I couldn't find a birth record for her under the name Anna Philippina, although there's a Philippina Catharina Seltzer who was born 23 Jan 1754 and christened in Freinsheim 25 Jan 1754, the daughter of Anna Maria (Breidenstein?) and Johann Henrich Seltzer.

Anna Philippina and Johannes had five, possibly six or seven children christened in Freinsheim. One died young:

The records gap makes it a bit difficult to know what happened next. For example, it's not impossible that Johannes born 1780 might be the Johannes Stocke who married Anna Elisabetha Weilbrenner in Freinsheim 11 May 1824, although he would have been 18-26 years older than his bride. But it seems more likely that this might be his son born sometime between October 1798 and 1806. Or it could be his nephew, the son of Johannes' brother Johann Hennrich born 1774, or - with one caveat - the son of their cousin Roland born 1784. The caveat is that the last would only be possible if Roland born 1784 was not the Roland Stocke who was deceased by January 1825 and died without legitimate heirs

Heinrich Stocke who married Catharina Margaretha Binder in Freinsheim 21 Feb 1826 was less likely to be Johann Hennrich born 1774. He was more likely the son of Johann Hennrich, Johannes or - with the same caveat - Roland.

Georg Jacob was almost certainly the Georg Jacob Stocke who married Juliana Pirmann during the records gap and whose children were born then. Thanks to legal notices published 1838 and 1839, I have more information about Georg Jacob than his siblings.

On the other hand, the only further possible information I have on Anna Maria comes from the 1839 legal notice discussed below. She seems to have married Franz Köhler sometime in 1806-1815 and to have had one son, Philipp Jacob, before dying sometime before June 1839.

Family Financial Deals: the 1839 Legal Notice

A legal notice of a forced sale published 17 Jun 1839 was included in the Königlich bayerisches Amts- und Intelligenzblatt für die Pfalz. The sale was requested by two groups of people:

The request is being made by these two groups of people as creditors of Roland Stocke, formerly a farmer in Freinsheim, currently a serving boy ("Dienstknecht") resident in Friedelsheim. I'm not sure I've got all the details right, but it seems as if Roland took the money he borrowed and invested it in four properties. Two are in Freinsheim and are occupied by Seligmann Löb. A third property in Freinsheim and one in Weisenheim am Sand are occupied by Johannes Stocke. All four properties together are worth 305 florins.

From the sounds of it, Georg Jacob born 1786 and Anna Maria born 1788 lent money to their younger brother Roland. Now the heirs of Georg Jacob and Anna Maria want the money back from their uncle.

Johannes Stock who occupies the pieces of land in Freinsheim and Weisenheim am Sand might be the siblings' older brother Johannes born 1780. However, I think he's more likely to be Johannes' son, nephew or cousin, as discussed above.
