Elisabetha Margaretha Schildbein and Johann Peter Sohn?

Between 1764 and 1798 there were only two fathers who had children christened under the name of Sohn in Freinsheim. One was Matthias Sohn. The other was Peter Sohn.

Peter Sohn was the name given as the father of two children. Johann Georg Sohn was born 25 Aug 1778 and christened 26 Aug 1778. His mother's name was Margaretha. Johann Sohn was born five years later, on 03 Oct 1783, and christened 08 Oct 1783. His mother's name was Elisabetha.

I originally assumed that Elisabetha and Margaretha were two different women, either married sequentially to the same Peter Sohn or married to two different men, both named Peter Sohn. Then I found a marriage record dated 16 Jan 1776 from Großkarlbach, 4 km NNE of Freinsheim, for an Elisabetha Margaretha Schildbein who married Johann Peter Sohn. To make things even more interesting, I found a second marriage record from Großkarlbach dated the same day for an Elisabetha Margaretha Schildbein, the daughter of Joh[annes?] Schildbein, who married Jacob Sohn.

There was a Johann Peter Sohn born 26 Feb 1759 and christened 28 Feb 1759 in Großkarlbach, the son of Peter Sohn and Catharina Juliana. However, he would have been only 17 in 1776, which is young for marriage by the standards of the region and time. I'm inclined to believe that the man Elisabetha Margaretha married was Matthias' older brother, Johann Peter Sohn born 25 Dec 1742 and christened 30 Dec 1742, the son of Anna Christina Neunzehnhöltzer and Johann Jacob Sohn. This might account for the confusion over the name of the groom - Johann Peter Sohn was the groom, Jacob Sohn was his father. I can't confirm any of this, though.

Of the eight children christened in Freinsheim under the name Sohn between 1816 (i.e. after the records gap ended) and 1837, six were born to Sibilla Retzer and Johannes Sohn, one was born to Elisabeth and Johannes Sohn and one was born to Christina Retzer and Johann Georg Sohn. Marriage and death records reveal one more child born to Sibilla and Johannes as well as one more born to Georg, with the mother's name not mentioned.

Johann Georg Sohn born 25 Aug 1778 may or may not be the Johann Georg Sohn who married Christina Retzer.

Johann Sohn born 03 Oct 1783 may or may not be the Johannes Sohn who married Sibilla Retzer.

I can't find birth or marriage records for Christina and Sibilla and therefore don't know if they were related.
